I'm developing customized comb and mold designs for agarose gels, specifically engineered for standard electrophoresis cells. These models are straightforward to print and can be used with either PLA or ABS materials. While ABS offers enhanced temperature resistance, it may exhibit warping issues. On the other hand, PLA tends to work better when carefully cooled down to a temperature range of 50-60°C before casting. Additionally, I've refined my comb designs to minimize the "elephant foot" problem by incorporating a small fillet at the bottom.
