AGA STD - eQ3 Max! Radiator Adapter

AGA STD - eQ3 Max! Radiator Adapter

thingiverse

I have outdated (1979) Swedish AGA valves installed in my radiators and the eQ3 MAX! thermostats refused to fit without using two separate adapters for each radiator. This resulted in an excessively high cost, essentially doubling the price of exchanging thermostats. So I designed this adapter. It works exceptionally well and is likely to fit other M30x1,5 thermostats as well. I have tested it with a Comet thermostat and it also fits seamlessly. To avoid deformation, print this adapter in plastic that is somewhat resistant to heat. I used 3D Prima Select PETG for this purpose. Printing it upside down from what you see in the picture using supports from the build plate will yield the best results. However, be cautious not to get support into your threads, as this can cause irreparable damage. Enjoy! Here are my print settings: * Printer Brand: Wanhao * Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 100 Notes: I actually have the V1 with a 0.4 nozzle. Printed in 3D Prima, Prima Select PETG at 245 degrees and 100 bed temperature on glass without adhesive.
