AG Fatshark Dominator Module Doors (LaForge and stock)
thingiverse
A lot of time and effort went into designing these files perfectly. They were designed from scratch using 123D by Anthony Kwon. The goal was to give the best Dominator doors possible to the community. If you want to contribute, please purchase the STL at https://pinshape.com/items/20862-3d-printed-ag-fatshark-dominator-module-doors-laforge-and-stock . Alternatively, a small PayPal donation can be sent to anthonykwon844@gmail.com. Replacement printed module doors for the Fatshark Dominator series of FPV goggles are included. The set includes: * Doors for the "LaForge rx5808" Pro and Diversity modules at http://www.laforgefpv.com/ * OEM doors (for people who want to add customization or just want a fun printed alternative) Please be aware that there may be some variances in screen height due to the manufacturing process. Be cautious when first clicking it in, as the screen may hit the board. If this happens, heat the four pins and gently push the screen closer to the board. I have heard of at least one person's LaForge module having a higher seated OLED screen. I have also chosen not to use the included double-sided tape to mount the module, as it will increase the screen height and risk of the screen touching the door. UPDATE The Laforge Doors A and B were designed before the announcement of "Batch2". The shipment from UBAD starting from May 2016 is called "Batch2". Please choose the right DoorA to print. Batch2 doors are designed with "B2" and come in two options: * Stealth: for people who want to mod their goggles and hide everything * Stock: for people who want to install it the way it is most safe for the goggles DoorB works on both released batches. UPDATE June 8th, 2016 New shorter versions of DoorA have been uploaded. Some people have had a hard time fitting doorA due to design intended to be a tight fit. The "SHORTER" STLs will provide a safer print alternative but with a slightly looser click-in. If you printed the original versions and were fine with the fit, there is no need to reprint to the SHORTER version. From now on, all future DoorA will be released in the SHORTER version only since it's more universal. UPDATE June 8th, 2016 A new file has been uploaded for Batch1 diversity module owners who want their module mounted with tape on the exterior side of the door. "DoorA Stock" provides a flat platform to safely mount your module as originally designed and intended. Modding the goggles for internal wiring and mounting can result in great damage to your goggles. UPDATE July 9th, 2016 These doors will not work with the latest release of Laforge (Batch3). I originally bought batch1 and made these doors. Then when batch2 came out, there were changes to the module that required the doors to be redesigned. A friend gave me measurements from batch2. Now batch3 has come out with more changes, and I don't own a batch3 or plan to keep buying every batch released. Every time the Laforge goes on preorder and sells out, a new "batch" gets released with changes. It's good for their development but too much time and money to keep making these free doors at that production speed. Especially when I'm not getting direct support by Laforge with measurements or even test modules. I love my batch1 Laforge, and I am proud of these doors - but I don't see myself continuing with this project. Happy flying, and enjoy your Laforge!
