The "Whisper Down The Lane" project, a collaborative effort by artist Bronwyn Holloway-Smith and the City Gallery Wellington, has been launched as part of The Obstinate Object: Contemporary New Zealand Sculpture exhibition. This undertaking features the creation of digital 3D models based on selected works in The Obstinate Object, designed in conjunction with Ant Pelosi and Nick Graham. These 3D designs will be made available for free download from Thingiverse under a Creative Commons BY-SA-NC License. Furthermore, physical manifestations of these works can be purchased through a print-on-demand system. Manufactured utilizing Open Source RepRap 3D printing technology by Vik Olliver in New Zealand, the objects in this series can be pre-ordered through bronwyn.co.nz/projects/whisper-down-the-lane. This initiative is set to start with a single piece and will expand gradually over the duration of The Obstinate Object exhibition as more works are finalized and made available.
