African Drum
thingiverse
This is a uniquely designed African djembe drum intended for 3D printing without supports. The design allows it to be printed as one single piece or split into two separate prints, offering flexibility in the printing process. To ensure proper printing without any supports, all parts must be printed upside down. If divided into two parts, there's a carefully designed snap that will only fit together once and cannot be removed easily. In this case, some glue may need to be applied to the connection area to secure it properly, as an added precaution against potential snap failure. In the original example, I used flex filament for the drum head, giving it a flexible and realistic feel, while woodfill PLA was chosen for the body to achieve an authentic look and texture.
