Afinibot/ Anet Frame Mounting Brackets

Afinibot/ Anet Frame Mounting Brackets

thingiverse

The Afinibot, Anet, and other Prusa clones with acrylic frames can flex and lift up during printing. To fix this issue, grab a cheap sheet of wood and clamp it down on top of it. This design will allow you to 3D print faster and cleaner with greatly reduced flex and resulting vibration in your unit. This is the fourth iteration of these clips, which can be made out of PLA and ABS. They were designed specifically for the 2015 Afinibot but may work on the Anet as well as later models of both. The biggest challenge I faced with Anet mounting brackets was that the 8mm horizontal frame bolts sit a bit shorter than expected. As a result, I needed taller brackets. I recommend printing six clips: two for the front, two for the middle, and two for the rear. Don't over-tighten them, or you'll likely split the ABS/PLA. To prevent this, drill pilot holes into your wood to avoid cracking and splitting it.
