Afinibot A5 Mini MKS Gen Fan Mount Remix
thingiverse
I'm assembling a second printer, but my A5 controller board died on me. It's tough to find an exact replacement for under $50, so I decided to revive my A5 instead. Luckily, I had an MKS Gen-2Z V1.2 lying around. To get the A5 up and running again, I remixed some parts from a collection I'm still trying to organize. When I can find them, I'll provide links to the original sources - for now, they're just a jumbled mess in my notes. The mod requires drilling 6 holes into the acrylic base of the printer. To get started, you need to print four corner pieces and one fan mount. It's not the most elegant solution, but it works for me. Since I don't plan on using the included LCD screen with this new board anyway, I didn't bother trying to get it working.
