Afinia/UP! Screw-on Borosilicate Glass Clips
thingiverse
When you purchase an UP! or an Afinia H480, the bed comes with spring clips used to hold perf-boards in place. These boards tend to warp and it's very difficult to get a good flat print. The solution: Afinia sells 3mm borosilicate glass plates that fit perfectly on the print bed, but first you have to remove the spring clips. When you buy sheets of glass from Afinia they include clips that hold the glass at the back of the bed, and metal clips to hold the glass in place at the front. SAVE THOSE SCREWS! I often found myself forgetting to clip the glass at the front and I broke more than one sheet of glass this way, when the glass slides off the front down to my concrete floor. To fix that, I installed a foam floor under my printers and invented this clip to stop the glass from sliding forward. This project includes two rear clips to replace the AFINIA clips, and because Afinia clips can slip, and every time you put the glass in place you have to ensure they are firmly in place, I made these so they screw into the plate from below using the same screws that used to hold those spring clips. The front clip also screws in place and prevents the glass from accidentally falling off. I still recommend using the metal clips at the front-sides for a perfect print.
