Replace the Extruder Cable Box V12 with this slim-profile part that holds 60-degree dovetailed indicators. The dovetail dimensions are adjustable in the printed component. For a better fit, use larger or 45-degree test indicators by modifying the dovetail block in the provided CAD (.dwg/.dxf) file. In the CAD file, a ghost block of the dovetail is on "Layer 2." To pair it with the cable cover, trim most of the angled part with the "AFINIA" logo, leaving about 3/4" at the top for the slotted opening, especially if you're mounting an Octave temp switch. For accurate readings near the nozzle, attach a 3/4" or 1" probe to your indicator. Print the part with solid fill and normal or fine speed. I recommend printing with the dovetail standing upwards to avoid support material inside it. You may need to chamfer the bottom left edge of the printed part where it mates with the fan duct's tangs. Before fitting the main part, print the "dovetail fit test block" first to ensure your indicator fits the dovetail design.
