Affordable Split Weight Jig for Connecting Rods
thingiverse
I built this to save a few bucks and gain some engine building expertise! Design calls for 2 eight-twenty-two by seven bearings and fasteners for the clamp on the right side. What is it? A three-dimensional print affordable split weight jig so you can balance your big ends and small ends for engines with multiple rods. Removing material in specific areas and symmetric weight removal are beyond the scope of this tutorial. Note: This project is still a work in progress, tolerances will need fine-tuning or possible adjustments to accommodate bearing gaps. Print at your own risk but please, do offer feedback for improvement. Topography details to be included later.
