High-Altitude Autonomous Balloon Payload (HAABP) designed to camera track the solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024. Utilizes reaction wheels to control yaw direction and micro servo for camera pitch. Made for senior design capstone EEE 488/489 at Arizona State University funded by the DREAMS Lab. The system is designed to use ROS2 installed on a Raspberry Pi 4 that communicates with an mRo PixRacer Pro flight controller. Peripherals include an mRo GPS module for positional accuracy and heading, a power distribution board, a Raspberry Pi Camera v2, a SiK Radio (915 MHz), and a micro servo (9g). The motors are clockwise DJI 2312s, and the ESCs are also DJI. All powered with a 4S LiPo battery.A newer version of the assembly is still being designed which will incorporate better/easier assembly, a stronger top attachment to the weather balloon, fewer fasteners, and better camera range of motion.
