AETERNITAS - Anna Nazo
myminifactory
The model embodies the word 'eternity' in Ancient Latin, AETERNITAS. Designed by Anna Nazo as part of her master's project at Central Saint Martins, it explores how typography can be reimagined in an alter-modern context for the Roman alphabet language project. By using metaphorical representations of extinct languages, Nazo transcends the medium of its original visualisation - Roman capitals on the Trajan's Column monument - and brings it to life with contemporary technology. Created using 3D Studio Max 2010, Adobe Soundbooth CS5, and Z Brush software, this piece was printed on a ProJet 660 Pro 3D printer. The work showcases Nazo's innovative use of digital tools to reimagine ancient languages in the modern world. The model has been featured in an article about the piece, earning it a nomination at the London 3D Print Show 2014. To learn more about Anna Nazo's work, visit her website.
