Aeschylus, born around 525/524 BC and died approximately 456/455 BC, was a renowned ancient Greek playwright known for his groundbreaking work in tragedy. He is widely regarded as the pioneer of tragedy, laying the foundation for the genre that would go on to captivate audiences for centuries.
