AeroPress storage rack with drip tray
prusaprinters
A compact tabletop storage rack to keep your AeroPress, accessories and filters in one small space. A removable drip tray provides somewhere to stand the AeroPress until you can clean it. To save space, the AeroPress is stored with the plunger pushed through the cylinder, which isn't to everyone's taste, but I've seen no issues from this, and it's the default storage method for the portable AeroPress Go. The filter mesh has its own storage space, so that doesn't need to be clipped on for storage. There are two versions here - select one and print both the drip and the outer tray (the -DO-NOT-PRINT versions are just illustrative. Photos are of the zRounded version, printed in Jessie Black PLA. zRounded versionThis version goes all-out on the curves by adding 3D rounding to the lower base, but this is at the cost of more difficult printing; the overhangs don't always come out beautifully.Regular versionThis is a simpler version which still mirrors the cylindrical design of the AeroPress itself. I've not printed it myself, as the zRounded version still works fine, but you may find it faster, simpler, and more aesthetically pleasing. The only differences are the curves at the bottom of the main tray, drip tray, and the drip tray housing. If you print it, let me know how it goes.PrintingAs there are minimal structural constraints on this model, most defaults will work fine. PLA copes fine with both the drips and the temperature of a used AeroPress. The photos were printed with variable layer height and ironing, but I don't think my printer's dialed in enough to benefit from the excess cleverness.
