This is a simple lid/plug designed for use with the Aeropress coffee plunger, allowing you to store coffee within the plunger's main compartment. The concept was born out of a need for convenience when traveling, requiring minimal items to carry. Initially, I envisioned a more intricate design incorporating space for filters and the strainer cap; however, it appeared overly complicated, prone to fragility, and faced time constraints that prevented its printing in advance of my first trip. Instead, this simpler design has proven satisfactory on two journeys thus far. For short weekend excursions, this attachment ensures access to high-quality morning coffee, a perk particularly appreciated during the preparation of cold brew overnight using the Aeropress. The lid was printed quickly using low-infill settings, serving as a test run; despite the hurried production, it has held up well without requiring re-printing. Once printed, a rubber band is wrapped around the indented portion before being inserted into the Aeropress after coffee has been added for storage. A quick rotation of the plunger to test the seal should confirm its stability when inverted.
