The material isn't very effective when used to print with PLA because the intention is for the user to pour near-boiling water through it. This particular product might be functional if printed with ABS, HIPS or nylon, however this could be questionable concerning food safety. Update: a friend has recently printed one for me in polycarbonate and surprisingly it performs quite well.
