AeroPress Coffee Mug Adapter
thingiverse
This is an AeroPress to mug adapter if you have a wide mug. The bottom of the AeroPress is too small for some mugs and slips off the top easily. The adapter is mainly a ring with an angled wall on the underside, keeping it from sliding off when pushing down on the press. It's 3mm thick for strength, so it can withstand pressing without deforming or bending under hot coffee. It's printed solid out of PLA. Coffee brews best at 175 degrees F with the AeroPress. Most automatic makers use hotter water. I've verified many times that using hotter than 175 makes coffee more bitter. I usually let coffee drip through grounds instead of pressing down all the way. When most water has dripped, I press out the last bit. This takes longer but gives a stronger cup without bitterness. I microwave the coffee for about a minute to bring it up to a nice hot temperature. Best cup ever!
