Aeroponics Sprayer for Clones 5 Gallon Bucket
cults3d
I designed a sprayer for use in any 5 gallon DIY cloning bucket. The printed sprayer requires a couple aeroponics spray nozzles, a short piece of 1/2" inside diameter soft rubber pipe, a water pump and a 5 gallon bucket! Once you print the sprayer and the 1/2" pipe adapter you will need to drill holes into the sprayer for your spray nozzles. For mine i used an 11/64 drill bit. Simply drill the holes then screw the nozzles into the sprayer. Cut a short piece of rubber pipe and attach to the sprayer and to your water pumps 1/2" adapter. Set the water pump in the bottom of your 5 gallon bucket and add fresh water making sure not to fill above the nozzles. Put the lid on and turn on your DIY cloning bucket! Mine is designed to root 7 cuttings at a time. I drilled 7 holes in the lid evenly spaced out and used 2" neoprene inserts to hold the small cuttings making sure the stems were roughly 2 inches inside the bucket. The water being sprayed on the stems of the cutting will allow for quick rooting. I have seen roots showing up in this machine in 8 days and enough roots on some to be transplanted in 12 days! 3d printed parts print very easy with no supports and at a layer height of 0.3. I used 60% infill to make for a no leak print. PLA is fine for this print. Enjoy!
