Aeroponic Tower 20cm Diameter Bucket Adapter
thingiverse
This is container adapter for the modular hydroponic tower; it can be used on any container that has a flat top surface of at least 20 cm diameter (food grade buckets work best). Additional Hardware: - 6x M3x12~16 screws (galvanized) - 6x M3 washers (galvanized) - 6x M3 Nyloc hex nuts (galvanized) Additional Tools: - Tin Snips or Dremel to cut a hole in the container - Deburring tool to remove frayed container edges - Drill - 2.5mm Drill bit This is designed to be a very tight fit to ensure maximum stability with the rest of the tower. It is noticeably more secure than other pieces of the tower and it is not easy to disassemble once locked onto the base tower module. Assemble the top of the lid to the base tower module immediately after printing while the piece is still hot for best fit. It is still fairly easy to assemble after the part has cooled. Post processing ===== Cut a hole in the lid of the container using your tool of choice; optionally clean up the cut edge with a deburring tool. Place the top of the lid onto the container and center it over the cutout once again. Expand the hole as necessary so that water goes directly into the container (eliminate any overhang). Once centered, mark the 6 holes on the top of the lid using the top piece as a stencil; thread a screw through each hole; the washer goes on the top of the screw to increase surface area of the screw, through the top frame, through the container lid, through the bottom frame, and into the nyloc hex nut. The nyloc hex nut has a recessed cutout to help prevent the nut from slipping over time.
