The objective of this project involved minimizing fuel consumption for trucks equipped with box body types. Provided are images from Autodesk Inventor 2014 and pictures of the completed project. To achieve these results, we implemented several strategies including: 1. Optimization of the truck's body weight. 2. Increasing front box edges radius to 60mm (in comparison with industry standard of 20-25mm). 3. Incorporating side skirts that cover the entire length of the truck to reduce turbulence.
