Aerodynamic Canopy for Floss 2.1
thingiverse
This is a streamlined canopy designed specifically for the Hyperlite Floss 2.1 model. Its aerodynamic design allows it to be flown at an angle of attack of 80 degrees. The canopy features a top-mounted compartment that can hold a 5S LiPo battery, which can be easily secured in place from the back. In addition to its aerodynamic capabilities, this canopy also serves as a protective impact structure, capable of withstanding loads of up to 23kg in the event of a crash. This helps safeguard the LiPo battery and ensure it remains intact. A GPS mount is included in the STL file, which can be attached to the canopy using VHB tape. The GPS unit is designed to face upwards at full speed, allowing for optimal satellite signal reception. It's recommended to secure satellite lock with the quad lying on its front before taking off. For landing gear and display stand purposes, a hook can be attached to the front of the canopy. Please note that this is not intended for flight use. A comprehensive guide to building the full quad can be found at rotorbuilds.com/build/15016.
