AeroCube Ender 3 Fan Duct
thingiverse
My first ever Ender 3 Pro / 3D printer mod, made entirely by me from scratch! Currently this is only suitable for the stock Ender 3 Pro (And I assume Ender 3) and the cooling fan mounts are designed for the standard 40x40x10 fans provided with the Ender 3 (or bought as replacements/additions) Unfortunately this means there is no mount for the BLTouch or other upgrades either, but if you wish to add your own and upload a remix, please do! Additional print settings; - Extruder temp: 220C, Bed temp: 80C - Support type: Tree, 0.16mm Z-Gap - Cooling: 20% standard, 50% Max - Build plate Adhesion: Brim (5mm) - Wall count: 3 - Wall ordering: OUTSIDE to INSIDE for dimensional accuracy - Z-Seam alignment: Back Other settings are up to the user, such as speed, etc. Instructions for installation are included in the main images, apologies for the installation being a bit awkward, this is my first ever design, but I have found that it's incredibly sturdy and doesn't wobble/jitter even with the most aggressive movements and acceleration. All parts are fit to the Ender 3 frame with the stock provided Ender 3 Screws & Parts, no need to purchase any additional screws or anything. Cooling fans are screwed directly into the body, whereas the main fan is pushed into place and should be very snug without any give The main fan's airflow should avoid the hot end while covering the entirety of the heatsink (see side cross section in main images) and the fan ducts should provide cooling just below the nozzle, as I tested with a water-airflow test and with my fingers. So far, this has served me well and my print quality has immediately improved, along with reduction in clogs in the hot-end, so I hope this does the same for you! If you find there is room for improvement, or wish to edit the models and make adjustments for upgrades such as BLTouch, please feel free to remix the model and upload it!
