Aerobird Xtreme parts

I pulled out an old Aerobird Xtreme from Hobbyzone that had been collecting dust in my rafters for ages and decided to give it another try. The control horns that came with this unit are woefully flimsy and have become increasingly brittle over time, making them nearly unusable. I'm excited to say that this new design is a game-changer, offering significantly more ease of use. To install the control horns, simply poke two holes in the foam using the horn mount holes as a template, then run some M3 hardware through both the top and bottom of the horn. Finally, secure everything in place with a nut to clamp down on the foam tightly. To secure the control string, I used another M3 bolt and nut combo, along with a washer on one side, wrapping the string around the bolt so it was captured between the plastic and the washer. The other piece that needed replacing is the v-tail clamp, which had also become brittle and disintegrated over time. To fix this, I rummaged through my M3 hardware bin and ran a bolt down through the clamp, through the tail, and finally into the tail boom, securing everything with a nut on the bottom.
