Aerobar risers for 25.4mm / 1" handlebars
thingiverse
I have a set of Profile Designs 70 mm aerobar risers, which work wonderfully but are made for 31.8mm aerobars/handlebars. However, on my (indoor only!) setup my favorite set of handlebars and aerobars are older designs, with 25.4mm diameters. I could add a shim to use my handlebars with the Profile Designs aerobar risers, but that leaves a problem on the aerobar side, because you can't shim a concave curve to make a larger diameter. Solution? A simple SCAD program (included with the files here) to produce a 70 mm riser designed for my 25.4mm aerobars. Uses the 85mm M5 bolts from my Profile Designs bars. Please note that proper aerobar risers are always made from metal or very strong carbon fiber. I would never use these aerobar risers outside... I use them only so my indoor trainer bike can have the exact same geometry as my outdoor bike. My indoor setup does not see the same kind of stresses as I would see outdoors. Use these at your own risk!
