The model, built nearly to scale, features a fully textured exterior. The detailed cockpit is accompanied by an interior cabin that includes seating and walled interiors. The landing gear can be retracted or hidden for flight animations, while the animated propellers add realism. Debuting in the 1950s, the Rockwell Aero Commander was designed to cater to executive and family transport markets; it quickly gained popularity as a twin aircraft powered by two IO 560 reciprocating engines located within its wings. Commercial and military versions have also been produced. After more than five decades, Commanders are still in service across the globe - some with the US Government agencies and even military units of third-world countries.
