AEK Style 60% Keyboard Case

AEK Style 60% Keyboard Case

I aimed to craft a case that would perfectly match the original Apple AEK keyboard's aesthetic for my upcoming Alps 64 build. My plan is to join the two halves together using XTC-3d, followed by sanding and painting to match the exact color of the original AEK keyboard. Each half will take approximately one day and sixteen hours to print according to CURA. UPDATE: After tweaking my settings to include five perimeter walls, a 1.6mm thick bottom/top, 35% infill at 60mm/s with my printer's acceleration settings, each half took about forty-eight hours to complete. Following a test print, I noticed that the right half has a slightly larger gap between the case and keycaps when installing the board. I suspect that the USB cutout port could be wider horizontally to allow for proper centering of your 60% PCB in this case. In my situation, I simply trimmed back the USB cutout on one side to enable my PCB to slide to the right side of the case, evening out the gaps somewhat. I'm sharing these details here in case anyone else is interested. I'll make sure to update this post when the print and build are complete. UPDATE: Check out the final product pics now...
