Aegis Face Shield with Ventilation

Credit for this remix goes to members of the Coronavirus Makers group, Alsolis for his terrific work and the others who have made design contributions to date. I've printed some of Alsolis Version 2 thick base designs and distributed these to local general practitioner doctors who are still finding it difficult to access PPE. It's great to be able to flatpack and send this design in the mail. Used the same print settings as Alsolis on Flashforge Dreamer FDM 3d printer. I received feedback from doctors indicating they prefer to fit the acetate to the frame in landscape format as it provides better protection. It's neat to have this flexibility in the design. For the shield I used 100micron acetate which is the thickest economical grade I can access and it still clips into the frame nicely. The other suggestion I received was that the face shield was fogging up in a number of situations, so I have remixed the design by adding vent ports in the lid, and included an angled shield to prevent the entry of airborne spittle. I have shared the .stl for those who might want to print as it. I have also shared the CAD components (.stp) I used to boolean union/difference from the face shield body in case others wish to modify.
