Ady Sun'Zee's Lightsaber. I designed it with TightTieFighterFight's Savi's Workshop Lightsaber Custom Template. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5220298 It is compatible with lightsabers from Savi's Workshop. This first version has the lower sleeve and upper part of the pommel bare -- to be wrapped with a faux leather. I've been mostly approximating the measurements based on these beautiful renderings: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/18WWxX As well as studying the model in game. I tried to design the little bit with the metal contacts to be the thing that locks the outer sleeve wing to the upper sleeve for quick attachment/release. The hole on the top is for an M4 screw. It can be a short screw just for show, or a longer screw to attach everything more securely. I added a screw hole in the pommel for attaching a covertec knob. The pommel and lower pommel will need to be glued together after the leather wrap is applied. ::Progress Report:: 1/21/23 After getting some parts in hand while wearing the VR headset, I made some tweaks to the emitter and lower pommel. 1/22/23 Uploaded a few pics of the early in-progress test pieces. Detailing done quickly with metallic Sharpie markers. Made more small adjustments to several parts. 1/23/23 Fixed a major mix up with the Emitter and Pommel threads. (I should have test fit things to the real chassis a bit more rather than rely so heavily on a dummy chassis). 1/25/23 Uploaded a 2nd version of the Upper Sleeve. I'm experimenting with it a bit, trying for something a little more sturdy that prints reliably. Added another revision of the Emitter. This one should actually have enough room on the inside to fit the Savi's Workshop chassis. But, I haven't finished printing it myself yet. 1/26/23 Another few updates to parts, plus a couple new pictures of the current state. I changed the hole in the top of the Upper Sleeve+Wing Sleeve to fit an M4 screw instead of an M3 for a more scale accurate look. 1/30/23 Created an alternate Lower Pommel that has an End Cap that can be inserted. I also thickened the walls of the delicate parts at the top that go over the leather wrapping. Decreased the size of the pegs under the Contacts so that they'll fit the Upper Sleeve holes better. Added a picture of it fully assembled and ignited on my Savi's lightsaber chassis. Unfortunately, I don't have blue kyber crystal to make it look even more authentic. Included some screenshots from the game for comparison. Widened the hole in the end of the Emitter so that the blade can be loaded after the emitter is screwed in place. 2/6/23 I'm pretty happy with where things are for the time being, so I'm going to consider this no longer a "work in progress". Whenever I have a fully post-processed make finished, I'll post the pictures.
