Adventure Force Spectrum to Nerf Kit
cults3d
This is a kit that I made for my Adventure Force Spectrum to change to look of the blaster, provide adapters to allow Nerf accessories -- barrel, top rail, and stock mount, provide multiple rail options -- AF, Nerf, Picatinny, and replace the bottom grip. There are two versions of the sides and barrel front. The first option (listed as "- AF Tube Barrel") allows space to incorporate the AF tube liner that came with the blaster (I trimmed this to the length of the barrel). This is larger than a typical Nerf barrel tube -- may allow greater dart velocity at tradeoff of accuracy. This means that the barrel adapter may not allow all Nerf barrel attachments to be used (attachments with very tight tubes will not fit on this barrel adapter and would likely jam darts since the tube is smaller than the AF tube). This option is really designed to allow cosmetic barrel attachments with wide openings for darts. The other option (listed as "- Nerf Barrel") narrows the barrel tube to Nerf size tighter tube (it uses a cone near the flywheels to narrow tube while avoiding jams). This narrower tube may reduce dart speed somewhat. In my minimal testing I was still getting over 100fps but that was with a 3s LiPo. I think I am getting higher fps with the larger tube but I only have a Nerf barrel chronograph. In either case above you can modify the barrel front if you do not want a Nerf adapter. The front simply plugs in with a cylindrical 8mm long insert with side tabs to reduce rotation. Also with either option above you have 3 rail options -- AF Standard Rail, Nerf Rail (longer rail with at least two mounting points and one rear stop), or Picatinny Rail. These have pre-drilled holes to attached with 6 small countersunk screws but could also likely be glued down. I have also included an adapter to allow the use of Nerf stocks on the Spectrum. This will lock onto the blaster seems pretty stable. However, this adapter is slightly longer than a typical Nerf stock mount so there may be a 1/2" or so space between your stock and the blaster. Finally, I have included two options to cover the bottom rail with either a narrow or wider pump-style cover. Please enjoy and donate a bit if these are useful to you. This is a labor of love / learning but I can use some help purchasing filament for multiple prototypes / testing for future models.
