Do not use an axle with hollowed out areas, as it is significantly weaker. To boost resistance, reinforce the wheel and axle joint by printing a full infill around that area or smoothing out any shape changes. This will provide added stability. You might need to increase the machine's grip due to tube slippage. To do this, cut the gears with a sawtooth design. Overall, this setup works quite well.
