Adult face-shield - Print more at a time
thingiverse
Hi all, I designed this shield because my small Ender 3 printer only allows me to print one at a time, and constantly refilling the filament was not feasible for me. The screen is made from an A4 PVC transparent sheet with A6 size holes along its longer side. The headband has four separate components that can be printed individually: Bottom Right, Bottom Left, Top Right, and Top Left. Assembling the headband is easy - I use a plier to snap the parts together. No glue or solvent is needed, and it's very durable. I've tested it myself, and other parts of the shield will break before the assembly comes loose. I print in simple Fast mode using Creality with a 0.4mm nozzle. To fill my printer table efficiently, I do two separate prints: four Tops together (four Top Right and four Top Left), and seven Bottoms and one top together (seven Bottom Right, seven Bottom Left, one Top Right, and one Top Left). Both prints take about five hours, allowing me to complete deliveries while the printer runs or launch it overnight. I've registered on Covid3D.com for requests and have delivered ten shields to chiropodists and three to a speech therapist so far. They're extremely happy with the design and are asking me to print more for them. If you make this shield, please share some pictures! If you have any questions, let me know. Enjoy! Stamp
