We are huge Star Wars enthusiasts. Hearing about Erik Bausersfeld's passing was a real blow, as he brought Admiral Ackbar to life with his iconic voice and phrase "It's a trap!" We decided to give this model a makeover in tribute to his incredible work. The original file had some serious flaws - overlapping parts and non-manifold issues that needed fixing. We used makeprintable to repair the damage and printed it out on our trusty Flash Forge 3D printer. Kip V, aka IronFace, originally designed the model, which you can find here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27856/#remixes We took Robby Flechas' remix (irobzu) as a starting point and made it our own: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:722121 Printer Settings: Flashforge Creator - we went with the standard settings of yes for rafts, supports, and 15% infill. Notes: We gave the model a metallic makeover using gold and silver paint spray to bring it to life.
