thingiverse
Adler was the first German railroad to operate between Nürnberg and Fürth in 1835. The material for adler-steam-locomotive-1835.svg includes plywood with a thickness of 3.2mm, measuring 40cm by 30cm. There are two laser layers in this file, one with a gauge of 45mm and the other with a gauge of 74mm. As an alternative, the adler-steam-locomotive-1835-4mm.svg file features plywood with a thickness of 4mm, measuring 53cm by 40cm, and a gauge of 98mm. A living hinge forms the center of the boiler, and it's essential to ensure that the grain runs lengthwise to prevent this piece from snapping easily. The front and back of the boiler consist of two walls each, along with numerous J-shaped strips. To assemble the front (or back), use three toothpicks to align all the parts. Two toothpicks pass through the lower left holes, while a third toothpick goes through the top center hole, where the pieces should alternate between left and right sides. On May 12th, 2019, the boiler was moved 3mm higher to better approximate its original proportions. On June 16th, 2019, a downscaled version for gauge 45mm was created. A tender was added on July 21st, 2019. The tender was shortened by 7mm and lowered by 3mm on July 27th, 2019.
