What It Is: Insert for [Retractable Razor Blade Utility Knife](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3853024), adjusted to fit standard Stanley blades. Please Note! This is just the insert, you will still need the holder from the source thing. Here's a direct link to download the female part: [Blade_Female_v4.stl](https://www.thingiverse.com/download:6989363). If this seems confusing, maybe printing things that hold razor blades isn't the best idea. Back Story: I liked the original design by cwillis75, but when I printed it, the blade didn't fit properly in the insert. This was surprising since these dimensions should be standard. I also had issues with the [original Talon V2 knife](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3677766) insert. How I Modified It: I loaded the file into MeshMixer and it had over 14,000 triangles. I remeshed it down to 500 triangles, reducing the file size from 700kb to 32kb. I shifted both blade retainer tabs by 1mm and exported that. When printed, I found the tolerance on the push button was too small - even a tiny bit of elephant foot made it hard to separate. The button effort was also too high, so I loaded it into Fusion 360. I enlarged the cutout around the button and shrunk the keychain area for more thickness. I then reduced the button spring from 1.9mm to 1mm. This version printed perfectly. I shared this with superbenk, who was happy with the results and posted his make on the original thing.
