Adjustable Z Probe
thingiverse
I got frustrated trying to set my Z Probe to the correct height using the large nuts and locking washers it came with. Every time I thought I'd finally gotten it right, my nozzle would attempt some bed diving. This holder makes fine adjustments a breeze using a screwdriver. This is my second design; the first had a spring above the Z Probe holder and inside the top of bracket. No longer necessary with the longer bolt and locknut at the bottom. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 20% Notes: I printed the bracket on its back, and the Z Probe holder top on the bed upside down, this reduces the support needed. Post-Printing: Once printed, I sanded the post behind the Z Probe holder so it slid easily inside the bracket. I drilled and tapped the hole on the Z Probe holder post; I'm using a 4M bolt. Additional parts: 1 x 4Mx50mm Bolt 1 x 4M Nylon Locknut 2 x 4M washers How I Designed This: This design was created using Vectorworks 15, software that now exports STL files.
