Adjustable Z-endstop remix for Creality printers
thingiverse
I am expanding on Jannoke's great design for an adjustable z-endstop, making some tweaks to suit my build. His original design works well, but I found a few areas that needed improvement. To start, I flipped the bolt from being attached to the base to the knob. This allows me to heat set the bolt head into the knob, providing a secure fit. The same process can be applied when attaching the bolt to the base. Next, I upgraded the M5 bolt to a larger one, replacing the original M3 bolt. The bigger bolt offers more surface area and gives me the option to use SAE bolts instead of metric ones, which is handy since we still use that system in the US and bolts are widely available. The final change I made was to the knob itself. In addition to reversing the bolt position, I added knurling to make it easier to grip and turn. To do this, I used one of the upgraded bed springs, which are much stiffer than the standard ones.
