Adjustable Z endstop holder
thingiverse
This scad file allows for an adjustable endstop holder on the Z axis. It's designed to attach under the bottom of the Z motor on the Z rod, preventing interference with the Z coupling area. The stl file is set for a 100mm Z and 8mm X with a height of 105mm from the bottom clamp bracket, suitable for either side of a printer. The scad file uses functions.scad from https://github.com/josefprusa/PrusaMendel. The assembly process involves inserting two clamping socket cap screws and nylok nuts into the X axis holes, followed by adding the threaded rod with thumb wheel, springs, and washers into the plastic part. Install it on the X axis rod sticking out on one end, tighten the holding socket cap screws without over-tightening, install the switch end on the Z rod, adjust the knurled nut to hit the switch, and connect the endstop wiring. Adjust the Z home using the thumb wheel. Parts needed include a 3mm threaded rod (McMaster #90024A040), knurled nut (McMaster #96115A420), four 3mm nuts (McMaster #98676A100), four 3mm socket head cap screws of different lengths (McMaster #91290A119, #91290A121), a thumb wheel (www.thingiverse.com/thing:13807), compression spring (McMaster #9657K59), and four 3mm washers (McMaster #91166A210).
