Adjustable Z-axis NEMA 17 mount bracket for 20x60 extrusion
thingiverse
To enhance my 3D printer's performance, I recently acquired a kit from Creative Machines UK. The printer has a robust frame made of 20x60 t-slot extrusion. I discovered that adjusting the Z motor mount was essential to align it properly and eliminate z-wobble issues. To optimize the printer's squareness and flatness, I designed three interconnected parts for the motor mount. The plate offers 5mm adjustment in both directions, while the angle pieces secure captive M4 nuts. After printing and assembling two sets, I was delighted with the results—perfect prints and no Z wobble. To improve assembly height to 60mm and add strength, I updated the mounting frames. The OpenSCAD file is available for single parts and assembled views.
