Adjustable Watch Movement Holder
thingiverse
I saw an old vintage watch movement holder before on ebay and I thought it looked really neat so I decided to try to make one myself. I also recently found out someone had created a brass movement holder based off of the same thing which looked really awesome. Either way I've included the separate 3D print ready files (coming soon) And the original Fusion360 f3d file in case anyone would like to make modifications. It's not perfect but I enjoyed making this and if I find a way to make it all work better or more smoothly I'll be sure to update this project. Watch repair is a super expensive hobby, so I'd like to make getting into it as cheap and enjoyable as possible for people using projects like this. HOW TO USE: Simply twist the top disk to make all three grips close in around your watch movement. Then when it's in position tighten the m3 screw at the bottom to ensure it doesn't come loose. (tightening the screw on the bottom is the most ideal way to do things I understand but at the moment it's all I can really think of without making the holder overly complex.)
