adjustable tent S hooks for camping
prusaprinters
Designed this for replacing S hooks on tent covers, it allows to easily tighten the elastic cord that pulls the cover with ease and strength better than most original solutions. Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm nozle Infill: 38 Filament: Eryone PLA black Notes: As any print that you want to be strong infill isn't as important as wall layers, 3-4 should be plenty strong (at least probably stronger than the knots and line). Print a couple of extras to replace or simply to hang a line on the trees, you never know when they might be useful, and they are super light. Post-Printing Installation I don't have the tent where they are installed with me right now, so I'll explain to the best of my abilities, though it's pretty easy to understand. To install you want to make a good knot through the closed loop (I did a bowline for all knots as its strong and simple) then you tread the elastic trough the "tunnel" from right to left/ T stand-off to opposite side. (It's easier to prepare this before being looped through the tent than afterwards) then you thread through the tent cover attachment point and to finish you tie the loose end to the closed loop with another bowline. Make sure that the tooth part faces you when the tent is open for ease of use, although it works perfectly fine if not done correctly. Custom Section Use I'' try to be as clear as possible here and the diagram kinda makes it easier kinda more confusing but experiment the idea is that each step increases friction for the step before it holding it, its based on many rope thingies found on sail boats. Working with the end that comes out of the tunnel we pull it as tight as the tent requires it to the desired length we then loop it on the T clockwise about two times then we pass it through the toothed wedge at the bottom clockwise and pull tight on the wedge pulling it as tight so the bungee gets as slim as possible so when it expands it gets wedged there finally we do another loop clockwise on the T. This sounds complicated but trust me can be done in about 2 secs and holds remarkably strong. Category: Replacement Parts
