Adjustable Surge Protector Mount

Adjustable Surge Protector Mount

thingiverse

I was searching for a way to attach my surge protector to my office desk without causing any damage. Since my current desk is flimsy, I didn't want to drill holes into the particleboard unless absolutely necessary. That's when I came across ragingcomputer's design and it sparked an idea for me to create my own variation. My design consists of three printed parts. The TopClamp serves as the main body of the mount, while the BottomClamp is slotted into the bottom of the main body. The SurgeClamp fits snugly into a channel with an open base, all held together by two rubber bands. The head on the SurgeClamp resembles a #6 pan head screw, allowing it to easily slot into most surge protector mounting holes. I applied rug/matt grip tape to the ends of the mounts that clamp onto furniture to keep them securely in place. I strongly advise against using this design for vertical orientations at present.
