Adjustable Standpipe Funnel for Bell Siphon
thingiverse
In aquaponics systems, a common way to irrigate beds is to use flood and drain with a bell siphon that works flawlessly when water flows evenly into the standpipe from all sides. This requires the standpipe to be perfectly perpendicular and have an unangled face, as shown in the picture above of a raw standpipe. If this isn't the case, the siphon may not start reliably. This device is a ball-and-socket adapter that allows you to adjust the funnel so water flows evenly on all sides. It's also tapered, which promotes proper autosiphoning behavior. There are two versions available for 3/4" and 1" standpipes. The funnel simply snaps into the pivot base.
