Adjustable Spool Roller
thingiverse
While searching Tthingiverse, I couldn't find a pre-made solution suitable for my broad spools (155 mm wide). Moreover, the variety of widths in my collection warranted against printing individualized (parametric) ones. To cater to such diverse needs, this set is adjustable from 30 mm to 150 mm and comprises only two distinct models, each requiring four prints. The bearings' flanges are rounded to correct any deformation on the spool "seat." To install, you need 4 skateboard bearings (608), 8 M8 hex head bolts (30 mm long) with nuts and wide washers, and 8 M4 button head socket screws (12 or 15 mm long) with nuts and washers (if 15 mm long). For each spool width, print four of each model, clean up the prints, attach the bearing flange to either end of the bar at the appropriate width for your spool, attach other bars perpendicularly to create a frame, and fasten bearings with M8 bolts.
