Adjustable Spool

This spool is specifically designed for easy color change of plastic filaments on varying roll diameters. Each adjustable hook features a single-bolt, captive nut design for simplicity. To prevent tangling, the spool should not rotate too freely. Constructed from 10x10 mm aluminum extrusions measuring approximately 22 cm in length, the arm pieces are fixed to the central part using small bolts (heat application may be necessary for a tight fit). Hooks at each arm end utilize 25 mm M3 bolts and nuts. The design concept is inspired by FatFreddie's "damped spool". Design files for potential modifications are included with this project, created using 123D Designer software.
