Adjustable Spherical Joint
grabcad
The project features a unique spherical mechanism, designed using Autodesk Inventor 2014, that can convert continuous rotation to oscillation of the output shaft. It is an extension of the Spherical Mechanisms Puzzle and uses adjustable crank input for output rocker rotation by tiller. Crank angle length varies from 150°-175°, with videos showcasing different movements at 179°. Animation control constraints are named as "Motor," "Length," "Crank-Mid," "Stud-Left," and "Stud-Right." This mechanism's application can be seen in the "Agile Eye" video. For Inventor users, all files must be in a single directory, opened with 2014 or later versions, then customize animation settings in Environments/Inventor Studio.
