Adjustable Rail Mountable LED Lights for FT5 or any 2020 rails
thingiverse
I had some leftover LED light squares from a previous project. I wanted to add them to my Folgertech FT5, but I couldn't find any good designs for mounting them, so I came up with one myself. This design attaches the lights to the rails on the FT5 and lets you adjust their angle. It uses standard M5 10mm screws with M5 T Nuts to connect to the frame. Print out one of each part and attach them together with an M3 20MM (or longer) screw and a nut. The light squares are self-adhesive, so just stick them to the mounting adapter. I'm powering three of these from my printer's power supply. Simply wire them into the power supply where you have your fans connected - follow the cable from the fan right below the MKS board. I printed this in PETG with 3 walls and 20% infill. The same settings should work for ABS or PLA as well. You'll need: (1 or 2) M5 10mm screws (1 or 2) M5 T Nuts (1) M3 20mm screw (1) M3 nut or lock nut Some LED light squares - I used 48-SMD light squares. You can find them on eBay, like I did (http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-X-Car-Festoon-T10-BA9S-White-LED-48SMD-Panel-Interior-Dome-Map-Light-Bulb-Lamp-/301032417732).
