Adjustable Pocket Screw Jig
thingiverse
A precision-crafted pocket screw jig designed specifically for standard-sized pocket screws and drill bits. The adjustable height feature allows seamless compatibility with various wood thicknesses, ranging from 0.75 inches to 1.5 inches. Note: Optimized for the precise tolerances of my 3D printer, allowing for a snug fit between parts that slide smoothly across each other. SolidWorks files are included, enabling users to customize and edit the design to suit their preferences. Print Settings: To ensure structural integrity, it is highly recommended to use a minimum wall thickness of 1.2mm during printing. Post-Printing Instructions: To complete the jig, you will need: Two 3/8-16 nuts One 3/8-16 bolt with a length of at least 3 inches Two 1/4-20 bolts approximately 1 inch in length Two 1/4-20 wing nuts Two small flat cap screws A 1/8-inch thick aluminum plate A flanged rotary motion bushing, specifically designed for 3/8-inch inner diameter and 5/8-inch outer diameter drill bits (or a suitable substitute) Any discrepancies in hole diameters can be resolved by editing the STL file or drilling out the holes, provided that the wall thickness is sufficient.
