Adjustable phone tripod mount/stand
myminifactory
An innovative phone mount and stand, inspired by the versatile Glif design. While functional, I disclaim any liability if your phone falls out of it, so consider investing in a reputable Glif product. Check out my creative remix that incorporates an M5 screw and accommodates portrait mode. Instructions: This clever solution utilizes a rubber band to apply tension to each end holder. However, the available space is limited, making it challenging to secure the rubber band with sufficient force. To overcome this issue, I employed a workaround by doubling up a rubber band, attaching one end to an end post, threading the other end(s) through the tube (utilizing tweezers from the opposite side), and then twisting to achieve even greater tension. Refer to the accompanying image for clarity. Ensure that the holders are properly aligned: the tripod mount features two angled holders, while the stand side boasts two flat holders. Consult the assembled STL photo for visual reference. To secure a 1/4"-20 nut in the end cap hole for use with a tripod, it is recommended to glue it in place. All parts should be printable without support, except for the rubber band posts. This design can certainly benefit from further refinement, which is why I have provided the DesignSpark Mechanical file.
