Adjustable Phone/Tablet Stand
thingiverse
This is a remix of the "Phone Stand by GoAftens. My remix has a bit more of an addition to the design than others that have been made. I modeled rounded legs for the stand, which allow it to move back and forth in the Stand Holder, allowing adjustable viewing angles. I thought of this idea after a year of using the stand. If I was standing, it would be more difficult to see the screen vs sitting. I would always be propping it up on books and such, but that made the stand unstable and it wasn't a good solution. With the new idea and the wonders of 3D modeling and printing, I now have the stand I have imagined. I also extended the area where the phone sits, to accommodate a case or a thicker device. This is one of my first designs so let me know what you think! (I used Cura to Slice this) PRINT SETTINGS: - Supports only on the "Phone Stand" -For "Phone Stand Holder" use "Adaptive Layers". (Set Layer Height to 0.2mm) Set the Maximum Variation to 0.1mm. This is to allow the base to print at 0.3mm and the threads and curves to print at 0.1mm. - I recommend using a brim to ensure adhesion to the bed. - For the nut, use 0.1mm layer height.
