Here is a simple smartphone stand I crafted to keep my Sony Xperia Z5 upright on my work surface. I eventually attached rubberized pads to the areas where the holder touches down on my desk, and also added them to the spots where the phone interacts with the mount itself (an old mousepad proved to be an excellent choice).
